Award winning travel and guide book writer contributing to a variety of publications in the UK and abroad. Radio work includes writing and producing a three-part series The Roaring Game and a half hour documentary on the Pinkerton Detective Agency for BBC Radio Scotland as well as several specialist music/travel-related series for BBC Radio 2.
Author of many guide books including AA Essential Scotland, AA Spiral Guide to Scotland, Fifty Walks in Glasgow and South West Scotland (AA)and the Thomas Cook Hotspots Guide to Cancun.
The last four years have been spent almost exclusively on UK book projects, revising several titles in Jarrolds Pathfinder series, updating the Insight Guide to Glasgow and writing city guides for the Columbus online World Travel Guide.
Recent commissions include writing a series of scripts for an audio visual guide to Stockholm; updating the AA’s Best Drives in Scotland, the Jarrold Pathfinder Guide to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs; writing consultancy reports on two forthcoming Scandinavian titles for New Holland Publishing and a revision of their Globetrotter Venice.
